Weekly Spelling Homework Menu:
You are responsible for completing spelling homework Monday through Thursday evenings. Your spelling tests will be on Fridays, unless otherwise noted in your planner. Each evening, you choose one of the following activities to practice your spelling words. Complete the assignment in your spelling spiral and return it to your teacher the following morning.
Make sure you date each assignment
Monday
Sort your words into categories.Write the rule or pattern that your words follow. (Same thing we did in group today)
Tuesday
Cut a picture out from the newspaper or a magazine. Write a story about that picture
using 10 - 12 of your spelling words. Underline or highlight your spelling words. (If you do not have access to a picture then write sentences using 10-12 of your spelling words correctly)
or
Type 10-12 of your spelling list four times on a computer. Use a different font each time. Print out your lists.
Wednesday
Create a wordle using your spelling words – go to http://www.wordle.net/
or
Pyramid words ex. happy

hap
happ
happy
Thursday
Complete a practice test.
Any words that you misspell should be written 3 times each.
Extra Practice: Can go onto spellingcity.com but remember that the main focus is on the patterns or rules that they follow
